Clubs & Extracurriculars
/Clubs & Extracurriculars
One of the things which has made my time at Penn the most rewarding and fulfilling is the people I have met. I have made friendships here that will last a lifetime. College is a unique experience in that you spend a great amount of time with those around you, eating, studying, socializing, and learning together, going about life in your educational bubble. This makes it so that you form strong bonds and close relationships very quickly, which is great because you are able to form a strong support network, whether you need help with a course or just someone to talk to.
Most of the people I have met have actually not been in the classroom, although that is not to discredit the amazing discussions that take place in them, but rather through my involvement in clubs and organizations. I am involved in numerous cultural, social, and professional, and volunteer organizations such as Mex@Penn, Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law International Fraternity, Penn Language Center, Wharton Latino, RGV@Penn, and obviously, the College Cognoscenti. The lessons and experiences that I have gained from my involvement in these groups has been instrumental in my academic and personal development. I truly feel like my Penn education and my time here has been well spent due to a combination of my academic studies and the memories I have created with my friends and peers.
